Questions and Information

"What is this Bacca Pacca?" is what everyone is probably wondering by the time they reach this page. The answer to that is simply, it is a backpack. But how is it special? It is able to follow you around if you get tired of carrying it. Do things like this already exist? Yes... and no. Yes because there are things similar to it, but, they are suitcases, the backpack's cousin (they are also VERY expensive.) Where would I buy it? It has not been released to the public yet, because it is still in the highly experimental phase, but when it does, you would buy it right here, snod.io. What is it made of? Relatively simple materials, such as a backpack, battery pack, camera, and wheels. Who most wants the product? That is easy, who do you think of when backpack comes to mind? School kids, they are my target audience, because backpacks are heavy and a pain to carry around, but anyone can buy it if they so wish. As for my marketing plan, I think I will put it on sale, announce it on different social medias, and make some ads on it. That concludes the bulk of the questions that would probably be asked about it, so onto the next paragraph!

Over the past semester that I have been working on the Bacca Pacca, I have made some great progress on it, but it still has many improvements that can happen. I went from drawing the blueprint on some paper, to making a cardboard model, to making the prototype I have now. It was not a very hard process, but it was still quite long in the making, because I had to find the best equipment for the job. For example, I had to go through multiple stores to find some good wheels and a good motor for the Bacca Pacca. I decided that it should run on a battery pack you can plug in because it seemed more convenient for people using it. The model could still use some work, I was thinking of some sort of plastic case around the "engine" part of it to make it look smoother. And as for the packaging, it will be a box, cheap and simple. Since it is being shipped from an online website, you would expect an amazon-looking box with a logo and some shipping labels. The most difficult part of the Bacca Pacca's Design was creating a good steering system with the camera, it is far from perfect, but it will suffice for now.

The main reason I created it was because I have had to carry my backpack around all day in school due to some covid related issues regarding stopping at lockers. I thought that while you could still carry a bag, you still get back aches from carrying the textbooks and other class materials with you. So then I thought what if you could set down the bag and it would follow you? I then started researching for other things like it and found it was a very unique idea. I asked a few people if they would buy it if it were for sale and they all said yes. People like the floppy, softer backpacks over the stiffer more plastic ones, so I decided that I would get one in-between the two and ended up with, well, the in-between of the two. So, the Bacca Pacca ended up with a harder, defined shape with the feel of an average backpack. All was well until I got to the axel of the product. The axel is the place where the camera turns the wheels on the Bacca Pacca. The axel still is not fully functional, but it turns well enough. The axel kept getting stuck on the wheels, but we were able to move the axel higher so it was not so much of a problem. That concludes the bulk of what I have done over the semester so thanks for reading!
